NBS Bank listing on the Malawi Stock Exchange brings to six the number of companies sponsored by The Privatisation Programme on the MSE. The Government of Malawi through The PC had offered to the public in an initial public offer (IPO) 48, 000, 000 shares and NBS offered a further 93, 333, 000 resulting in a total of 141, 333, 000 being available for subscription by the public at an offer price of K2.60 per share. The total number of applications received 11, 304. The shares were over-subscribed 8.9 times.
